At Giridhar Pai Associates LLP (GPA), logistics is not just an operational necessity but our defining service USP.
Over the past six years, our relentless commitment to logistical excellence has ensured that our customers receive their orders promptly and reliably, with a level of service that distinguishes us in the pest management industry.
A Track Record of Reliability
Since our inception, GPA has maintained an exceptional delivery record. In six years of operations, we have experienced zero customer delivery losses, a testament to our process efficiency and courier partner dependability.
B2B Logistics: Meeting Rising Expectations
Unlike traditional pest control services that rely on in-person technician visits, our business model involves dispatching products to customers via courier. In an age where e-commerce has set new benchmarks for delivery speed and convenience, B2B customers now expect the same level of efficiency and transparency in their business orders. We recognised this shift early and have continually evolved our logistics to match these expectations.

Adapting Pricing for Customer Ease
When GPA launched in 2020, we offered free deliveries to simplify purchasing for early customers. As our business grew, we transitioned in 2021 to a model that added freight charges to product prices. By 2022, we further streamlined the process by rolling delivery costs into our product pricing, making transactions smoother and eliminating hidden charges. Our all-inclusive pricing is appreciated by our customers who value transparency and simplicity.
Strategic Decisions: Courier Over Truck Transport
One of our most significant early decisions was to rely exclusively on courier services rather than traditional truck freight. Our products are compact, and we wanted to avoid the risks of damage and delays in truck transportation. While this commitment to couriers increased our logistics costs, it delivered faster, safer, and more reliable deliveries for our customers, a trade-off we believe is well worth the investment.
Evolving Our Import Logistics
In 2024, we made another pivotal change by switching from air cargo to FedEx courier for our imports. Our desire for greater reliability and faster turnaround times drove such a shift. For the past year and three months, FedEx has been instrumental in ensuring our shipments from vendors in Japan, the United States, Spain, and Denmark arrive promptly and in excellent condition.

Collaborative Partnerships for Seamless Fulfilment
Our logistics excellence is built on strong, collaborative relationships with our vendor partners. Early on, our first vendor partner, Pestroniks Innovations Pte Ltd. (Pestroniks), the manufacturer of FLYght Traps, handled all customer shipments of its products directly.
As we expanded our product range by collaborating with Gumtree Traps Pvt. Ltd. (Gumtree Traps) and R2 Biosmart Pest Management (R2 Biosmart), we requested that both partners handle direct-to-customer dispatches. Vendors dispatching our orders to our customers minimise handling, speed up delivery, and leverage our partners’ logistical strengths.
DTDC (Krishna Enterprises): A Pillar of Outbound Logistics
Our association with DTDC‘s franchise, Krishna Enterprises, began in early 2023 with a high-value RodeXit dispatch. Mr Subhash Singh, the owner, impressed us with his responsiveness and customer focus. Over the past three years, DTDC has achieved a 100% delivery record for our outbound shipments, including rodent-proofing products, pheromone traps and lures, and educational books for pest management professionals. They handle label printing, packing, and collection when needed and proactively intervene to resolve delivery issues, reinforcing our promise of reliability.

Navigating Intra-city Challenges
Operating in a city known for heavy monsoon rains and traffic congestion, we faced logistical difficulties in getting packages from our premises to DTDC’s franchisee. In 2025, we adopted Uber Parcel to bridge this last-mile gap, ensuring our commitment to dispatching orders within 24 hours is consistently met, regardless of weather or traffic.
FedEx: Enhancing Inbound and Outbound Logistics
Since October 2024, FedEx has been a key logistics partner, supporting both our imports and select export deliveries. Their global reach, robust tracking systems, and speed have elevated our supply chain, helping us meet urgent customer needs across borders. Our ability to source products from diverse international vendors and deliver them rapidly is a direct result of our FedEx partnership.
Fortio Logisolutions: Professional Export Handling
For sea and air freight, particularly for exports, we have relied on Fortio Logisolutions Pvt. Ltd. (Fortio Logisolutions) since 2023. Their professionalism in managing customs clearances and paperwork makes them an invaluable partner, especially when servicing international customers such as those in Sri Lanka. In a crowded logistics sector, Fortio Logisolutions’ attention to detail and reliability set them apart.

Proactive Shipment Monitoring and Problem Solving
A cornerstone of our logistics excellence is close, ongoing monitoring of every shipment. We track all orders, inbound and outbound, to quickly detect and address delays. Our proactive approach has helped us overcome various logistical challenges:
- In one Gumtree shipment, a courier falsely marked the delivery as complete, requiring a second shipment to fulfil the order.
- For a FLYght Trap order, a customer’s warehouse flooding due to heavy rains delayed delivery, but our team coordinated closely to ensure eventual receipt.
- Our vendors sometimes ship from Europe and the USA during severe winters, navigating snow emergencies and business closures to keep our supply chain moving.
Continuous Improvement and Inventory Planning
To maintain our 24-hour turnaround standard, we meticulously plan inventory and coordinate logistics to minimise stockouts. With lead times of one to two weeks for imported products, occasional stockouts do occur. Still, we are committed to further tightening our inventory reviews and planning to eliminate such instances.
A Lean, Digital-First Distribution Model
GPA is proud to be a pioneer of the lean distribution model in the pest control industry. By minimising unnecessary processes and costs while leveraging digital tools for order and shipment management, we deliver products just-in-time to satisfy our customers. Our systems ensure that even when customers demand products on short notice, we can deliver promptly through careful coordination of inventory, inbound and outbound logistics, and real-time tracking.
Gratitude and Vision
Our journey towards logistics excellence has been made possible by the unwavering support of our partners, Pestroniks, Gumtree, DTDC (Krishna Enterprises), FedEx, and Fortio and our team’s dedication.
As we look ahead to 2026, we are committed to eliminating stockouts and further enhancing our logistics systems to set new benchmarks for speed, reliability, and customer satisfaction. At GPA, we believe our logistics is not just a backend process but the very foundation of our promise to customers: timely, reliable, and hassle-free deliveries, every time.
