RodeXit in India
Giridhar Pai Associates (GPA) launched the RodeXit rodent seal in India in April 2022 and, by December 2025, had sold more than one thousand metres of it to Indian customers.
Denmark’s RodeXit N.A. ApS, the RodeXit rodent seal manufacturer, has expanded GPA’s sales territory across Asia and Africa, recognising GPA’s commitment to promoting rodent-proofing as an important part of rodent management.

RodeXit rolls are available as 11 m in 40 X 40 X 7.5 cm boxes weighing 3 kg.
RodeXit – India’s only custom made rodent proofing product
The RodeXit rodent seal is India’s only custom-made rodent-proofing product, which is most suitable for preventing mouse and rat entry from gaps below doors and shutters. GPA and its distributors have developed the tools and accessories for RodeXit installation in India using either self-drilling screws with washers or an industrial adhesive.

FAQs
Though you normally use screws and washers to fix RodeXit seals, you can also fix the seals by using kickplates or a mounting strip. Another option for stationary gaps is to secure the proofing strip by means of an adhesive or double-sided adhesive that can bind thermoplastic elastomers.
Our experience is that a single RodeXit layer is normally sufficient to protect spaces. However, a double-layer installation works well if the rodent pressure is very high, calling for a high degree of protection from rodents.
You can seal gaps up to 5 cm wide using two RodeXit strips.
You can use RodeXit seals to proof holes in walls around pipes or cables by overlapping four strips in the form of a square around a round pipe or cable.
A single layer on a door reduces airflow in and out and substantially reduces heating and/or air-conditioning costs.
Two layers with a single layer on each side of a door will trap air between the two layers, and the trapped air will serve as effective insulation, significantly reducing the heating and/or air-conditioning costs.
You can use almost any metal cutting device, like tin snips. Tin snips with long blades are better than the ones with ordinary short blades because it is much easier to make straight cuts with long blades.
Though the RodeXit strip does not need any maintenance, you should check it periodically to be sure that it is intact and does not have mechanical or rodent damage that could compromise the rodent protection it offers.
We recommend using RodeXit in vertical astragal gaps of double doors in glass or other material. To retain the aesthetic appearance of a door with a seal, you can cover the seal with a mounting strip that matches the door.
By bending the RodeXit strip at a 90 angle, you can cover the space between two objects with a gap with the RodeXit bending at the right angle at the centre.
You can easily cut the RodeXit strip vertically or horizontally to fit the shape of the gap you seek to close. Use tin snips for crosswise cuts and a Stanley knife for lengthwise cuts.
You can use either flat-headed screws, e.g. ¾ – 1 inch (20 – 25 mm) long No. 10 (4.8 mm) hex head screws, or pan head screws with a No. 2 Philips recess. The choice of screws depends on the material in which you want to fix RodeXit. It is a good idea to use 20 – 25 mm long and 5 mm thick flat-headed screws, e.g. pan head screws with a No. 2 Philips recess or hex head screws. If the material is sheet metal, it is a good idea to use a screw with a drill point.
You can either place a washer between the head of the screw and the RodeXit strip or use an aluminium carpet trim or transition mounting strip. You can place a washer under the head of the screw or use a mounting strip such as an aluminium carpet trim.
You can cover such spaces using smaller RodeXit strips placed at angles to cover the gap fully.
Under ideal conditions, RodeXit can easily last up to ten years, assuming it has no mechanical damage.
RodeXit deters all pests once installed, though it is primarily designed against mice and rats. Our customers have also used it as a barrier to prevent snake entry. If the RodeXit installation has created a tight seal over a gap, it can prevent all pests from entering a space.
RodeXit comes in 11 m rolls inside flat boxes with four flat boxes in one larger box.
Each 11 m RodeXit box is 40 X 40 cm square and 7.5 cm high. The larger 4 X 11 m RodeXit roll box is 40 X 40 X 30 cm.
Including the cardboard box, one RodeXit roll weighs 3 kg. Four RodeXit rolls weigh 12 kg in the larger box.
