GPA Recognised as Global Leader in Rodent Control by Market Research and News

We are thrilled to announce that Market Research And News have recognised Giridhar Pai Associates LLP (GPA) as a global leader in rodent control in their latest Global Rodent Control Market Report, published in October 2024.

GPA is proud to be among the thirty companies worldwide recognised for leadership in the rodent control segment, and what makes this recognition even more special is that we are one of the few global companies dedicated exclusively to non-toxic rodent control solutions.

In this blog post, we share our journey since 2020 as we have grown into a global leader in non-toxic pest solutions, with an unwavering focus on pest prevention and monitoring, including rodent exclusion.

GPA’s Beginnings and Early Innovations

I founded GPA in 2020 to develop a range of pest management solutions that do not rely on chemical pesticides. Concentrating on pest prevention and monitoring, we introduced Pestroniks Innovations Pte. Ltd.’s FLYght LED fly catchers in 2020 and launched their Aedes-X Smart Gravitrap in 2021.

RodeXit Launch in 2022

In 2022, we made a significant stride by introducing the RodeXit rodent seal to India, when no branded rodent-proofing products were available locally, through a partnership with RodeXit N.A. ApS, we brought their innovative product to India, making the country the second in the world to offer the RodeXit rodent seal.

Since then, through perseverance and a steadfast commitment to quality, we have established RodeXit as India’s leading solution for sealing gaps under doors and shutters. To date, we have supplied over 2,200 metres of RodeXit to customers in India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and Kuwait.

Our progress has been bolstered by the support of Indian Pest Control Operators (PCOs), especially Seva Facility Services Private Limited (SFS), led by Hiraman Rathod. SFS played a pivotal role in showcasing RodeXit installations and actively promoting the product to their clients. Today, SFS stands as India’s foremost expert in rodent proofing.

Our focus extends beyond selling RodeXit, as we are nurturing a rodent prevention community in India by encouraging PCOs to use these solutions to seal gaps that allow rodents to enter buildings.

Rodent Proof Fill Fabric Launch in October 2025

Thanks to RodeXit’s Bjørn von Ryberg, we connected with Gonçal Cano Dies of Barlesa, SL (Barlesa) and introduced Barlesa’s Defender Rodent-Proof Fabric in India in October 2025.

Once again, we relied on SFS to create impactful product demonstration videos.

We are now on the brink of selling our 100th Rodent Proof Fill Fabric in India, with one PCO preparing to deploy it at hundreds of client sites. Our experience was further enriched by Xcluder’s knowledge base from a product previously available in India.

Building on RodeXit’s success, GPA continues to expand into pest prevention, making significant strides with rodent fill fabric and preparing to introduce the Chinchex bed bug desiccant in August 2026.

At GPA, we are pioneering non-toxic pest control in India, building our presence one product, one PCO, and one customer at a time. We are meeting and exceeding market expectations with innovative products that are redefining pest management.

It is an honour to be listed among the world’s top rodent control companies. We are especially grateful to Dr Raja Mahendran for introducing Bjørn von Ryberg to me in August 2021 during the pandemic, a connection that set the stage for our enduring partnership and RodeXit’s success across Asia.

Being featured in Market Research And News’s October 2024 Global Rodent Control Market Report reaffirms our impact, and we are collaborating with leading manufacturers worldwide to expand our rodent prevention portfolio further.

Redefining IPM in 2026

This year, we have reimagined IPM to stand for Inspection, Prevention, and Monitoring of pests. We firmly believe that these three pillars are essential for successful pest management.

When it comes to rodents, multiple challenges with current trapping and baiting methods present opportunities for innovative, non-toxic management solutions. Hygiene is crucial for limiting rodent populations, while building modifications that facilitate rodent exclusion are essential for preventing entry.

Hygiene and exclusion are proving more effective in rodent management than traditional trapping and baiting.

Rats are inherently neophobic, as video footage from around the world demonstrates, in which we can see them often evade or escape various traps. Baits, on the other hand, can cause secondary poisoning of non-target species that feed on poisoned rodents and contribute to soil and water pollution when left uneaten.

While trapping and baiting play a role in controlling rodent populations, they must be integrated with improved hygiene and comprehensive rodent prevention measures through building modifications.

GPA’s RodeXit and Rodent Proof Fill Fabric are ideal components in rodent management programs, effectively preventing rodent entry by sealing identified gaps in building structures.

Both products are durable and can remain effective for nearly a decade if not accidentally damaged. Although there are installation costs, both products ultimately reduce the need for indoor rodent trapping and decrease losses from rodent damage.

GPA continues to evaluate additional rodent-exclusion products to enhance our rodent-prevention portfolio further. Additionally, we are preparing to launch our Rodent Proofing Academy to train PCOs in advanced rodent-proofing techniques, enabling them to deliver greater value and more effective rodent management services to their customers.

The true measure of rodent control is fewer rodents entering and being trapped, and reduced damage within buildings. For effective rodent management, GPA strongly advocates for rodent exclusion through robust proofing measures.
